Kris Knutson
President
Kris Knutson is a retired educator of thirty years.  He spent the last twenty-two years educating the students of Lincoln in the Western Placer Unified School District as both a principal and a teacher.  Kris is very involved in the Lincoln Community.  He is a seventeen year member of the Lincoln Host Lions Club.  He earned his Bachelors Degree in Business and Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his Masters Degree in Education from National University in Sacramento.
Claire Luke
Vice President
Claire graduated from California State University Sacramento with a degree in Education and English and became a teacher. Claire served as a “Professional Volunteer” as she and her family moved around the Country as an Air Force Family. Once her children were on their own, she served as CEO for the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce in Fairfax VA. She held that position for 17 years and, after moving back home to California, continued to serve the local Chamber.
Rosemary Knutson
Secretary
Rosemary Knutson is a retired Western Placer Unified School District secretary of thirty-two years. She spent the last twenty-two years as secretary to the superintendent. Rosemary is a life-long resident of Lincoln and is very involved in the Lincoln Community. She is a twenty-three year member of the Lincoln Host Lions Club. She is also the proud mother of four and grandmother of nine children. Rosemary loves Lincoln and loves giving back to her community!
Jan Bedwell
Treasurer
Jan retired from a 42 year banking career in 2015 as a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank. She worked in the International Division for the majority of her career as a Project Manager and Manager of the Technology Division. She also worked for a short while with Union Bank of California as a Project Manager. Since her retirement, Jan has been volunteering with several community and school organizations.
Gary McDonald
Board Member
Gary McDonald is an entrepreneur and non-profit leader. Having founded Nursefinders of Cincinnati and Nursefinders of Pittsburgh (temporary nursing services) as well as his own Australian themed restaurant, he went on to create Feeding America San Diego, the largest food bank in San Diego County. In recognition, Mayor Sanders and the City of San Diego declared April 4 2010, Gary McDonald Day in honor of his service to people residing in San Diego County.
Stephanie Berger
Board Member
Stephanie Berger has been a Lincoln resident for over 13 years. She has always been passionate about spreading kindness and giving back to the community and inspires others to do so with the children’s book she authored, The Happiest Birthday Ever. After volunteering with Make-a-Wish Foundation, she decided to start Silver Wishes, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes to seniors within Placer County and is serving as the President. Currently she is a volunteer with Seniors First serving Meals on Wheels to seniors residing in Lincoln. Stephanie received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Richard Buss
Board Member

Richard Buss served as a United States Marine at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina,  and then graduated from Cal State Hayward with a degree in Computer Science, and has worked in Software Development for the past twenty years. He moved to Lincoln with his wife Donna and daughter Nicole in 2006 and since then has become a huge supporter of local Lincoln businesses. Richard graduated from the Lincoln Leadership class in 2019, and also volunteers on the Lincoln Fireworks Committee, Lincoln Public Safety Foundation, and Lincoln Economic Development Committee.

Eric Kurland
Board Member

Eric Kurland moved to California in 1987 after graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering, Computer Science. He had the pleasure of working 30 + years at Hewlett-Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in such roles as the Director of Sales Development and a Region Operations Manager. He has enjoyed being a member of the Lincoln community since 2007 – getting involved in city business, volunteering and enjoying life. His guiding principles include : Together We Make It Happen and Every Day is a Day to Learn Something New. He and his wife Lisa have a labradoodle named Coco and 3 incredible kids, covering both the Fighting Zebras and Raging Rhinos.
