Lincoln Public Safety Foundation

The Lincoln Community Foundation has once again shown its commitment to improving the quality of life in Lincoln, California. On April 20, 2023, the foundation presented  Public Safety Chief Alves with a check for $1500 to help cover the start up costs of the Lincoln Public Safety Foundation.

This new organization is a newly forming 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose purpose will be to support and enhance the Police and Fire Departments in the City of Lincoln, California with funding for essential items that are not always covered by the city’s budget.

The Lincoln Community Foundation has played a crucial role in supporting the formation of this nonprofit, with Kris Knutson and Jan Bedwell of the foundation, along with Renee Maldonado, serving as interim Board members until the permanent board is identified and elected.

If you would like to contribute towards the startup of this nonprofit, please contact Jan Bedwell at lcomfound@gmail.com.

This is a fantastic example of how the Lincoln Community Foundation works as a catalyst for community programs and non profits to help make our community stronger and a better place to live. A need for the local community was identified, the Lincoln Community Foundation was contacted, funds were approved and allocated, and the Lincoln Community Foundation will continue to support the new non profit as needed for the foreseeable future.

The Lincoln Public Safety Foundation is sure to make a significant impact on the community, and the Lincoln Community Foundation is proud to be a part of its formation. We look forward to seeing the positive changes this new organization will bring to our community.
