LCF Supports Every 15 Minutes Program with Generous Donation
The Lincoln Community Foundation proudly announces its recent contribution of $1400 to the Every 15 Minutes program, a vital initiative aimed at educating high school juniors and seniors about the consequences of impaired driving and the importance of making responsible decisions.
Every 15 Minutes is a powerful two-day program that confronts students with the harsh realities of drinking, driving, and personal safety. Through simulated scenarios, participants are challenged to consider the far-reaching impacts of their choices on themselves, their loved ones, and their community.
The program, which recently held its awareness event in Lincoln, California, brings together a coalition of partners including the California Highway Patrol, local law enforcement agencies, hospitals, emergency medical responders, schools, businesses, and service clubs. This collaborative effort underscores the collective commitment to promoting safety and well-being within the community.
Lincoln High School and Phoenix High School students had the opportunity to witness the Every 15 Minutes event firsthand. The experience was described as incredibly moving, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
“The Lincoln Community Foundation is proud to support initiatives like Every 15 Minutes that empower our youth to make informed and responsible choices,” said Kris Knutson, President of the Lincoln Community Foundation. “By investing in programs that educate and inspire, we are working together to build a safer and stronger community for future generations.”
The Lincoln Community Foundation extends its gratitude to all partners and participants involved in the Every 15 Minutes program for their dedication to promoting awareness and preventing tragedies related to impaired driving.
