Coalition for Auburn and Lincoln Youth Donation

In September 2023, the Lincoln Community Foundation contributed $1500 to the Coalition for Auburn and Lincoln Youth, enabling the purchase of the movie rights to “Screenagers Under the Influence: Addressing Vaping, Alcohol, & Drugs in the Digital Age.” The film explores the impact of media on teens’ decisions regarding substances like nicotine, alcohol, and drugs.

The Coalition recently hosted the first screening of the movie, drawing over five hundred attendees and showcasing the foundation’s significant community impact. Due to the positive response, a second showing is scheduled for February 5th at Del Oro High Theatre in Loomis, featuring resource tables and a post-movie panel discussion. Multiple future showings are also planned to ensure broader community access to this impactful content.
