Bruno Mars Ticket Raffle
This past month the Lincoln Community Foundation sponsored a raffle to benefit both the TBHS Boosters and Raging Rhinos Sober Grad groups. The raffle prize was two third row tickets to the Bruno Mars concert at the new concert facility “The Venue” at Thunder Valley. Over ten thousand dollars was raised for both groups.
TBHS Boosters is an organization committed to raising funds to support all Twelve Bridges High Schools’ clubs and sport teams.
Raging Rhinos Sober Grad is a parent-sponsored organization to deliver a fun, safe and alcohol free graduation celebration for our future TBHS seniors — providing them a safe, memorable night with their friends and classmates before moving on to the next chapter of their lives.
To promote the raffle Eric Kurland arranged and put together a video called “Uptown Funk – Lincoln Style”. Over twenty-five Lincoln residents took part in the video, which also included local businesses and other organizations. If you have not seen the video you can see it on the Lincoln Community Foundation website at www.lincolncommunityfoundation.org.
This is a great example of a community coming together to support one another – contributing to this video to support Lincoln Community Foundation and their Bruno Mars raffle fundraiser.
Eric Kurland, TBHS Parent and LCF Board Member, said “Thanks to the 25 + businesses and organizations that rallied to produce this fun video – everyone from small businesses to service organizations to City Hall to TBHS and more, and special thanks to Steven Pagano and the Rockstar Music Academy – as without their talents and commitment, this video would not have happened. What an amazing thing to watch come together in only 10 days.”
The winner of the Bruno Mars tickets was Becky Errotabere, who has a student at Twelve Bridges High School. Becky was present online during the live drawing on Facebook.
We are sure Becky Errotabere will have a great time at the Bruno Mars concert!
