Refurbished McBean Park Horseshoe Pits

The Friends of McBean Park partnered with the Lincoln Community Foundation, the Lincoln Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Lincoln to restore the Horseshoe Pits at McBean Park mid last year.  Boy Scout Troop 150 provided the labor and the aforementioned organizations provided the supplies.  The Horseshoe Pits were restored in 2021 in time for the annual 4th of July celebration at McBean park.

The last thing to do was purchase a new shed for the Horseshoe area to store the tools needed to maintain the Horseshoe Pits.  This was accomplished in February (2022) with the purchase of a Tuff Shed.  The same organizations mentioned above provided the funding for this purchase also.  Great partnerships are making Lincoln’s McBean Park better!
