Lincoln Community Foundation Bingo Is A Hit!
The monthly bingo put on by the Lincoln Community Foundation has become a huge hit in the Lincoln community and has a growing fan base. Bingo is the second Wednesday of each month.
The Lincoln Community Foundation acts as a catalyst for community programs, events, and non-profits in the Lincoln community. The goal of the monthly events is to help local non-profits raise money. This year the Lincoln Community Foundation has held bingo events and raised money for Silver Wishes, The Lincoln Host Lions, and the Lincoln 4th Of July Foundation. Every month the bingo events are getting bigger and bigger.
Last week, the monthly bingo benefitted the Lincoln 4th Of July Foundation. This month’s bingo was the best attended bingo to date.
“The Lincoln 4th of July Foundation would like to thank the Lincoln Community Foundation for hosting a very successful monthly bingo fundraiser at the McBean Park Pavilion.” Said Anthony Bersamin, the President of the Lincoln 4th of July Foundation. “Over $5,000 was raised at our “Get Lucky” Bingo event on March 8th. Those critical funds will go directly towards the overhead costs of our Lincoln 4th of July Celebration at McBean Park. In 2023, our goal is to raise $80,000 which is certainly achievable with the assistance of our friends and family, local businesses, and our proud non-profit partners like the Lincoln Community Foundation.”
The winner of the “heads & tails” contest was Kristin Noriega, who won $400 cash.
Next month’s bingo will be benefiting the 12 Bridges Jr. Rhinos. Future events will benefit the Art League Of Lincoln, The Lincoln Police Activities League, The Kiwanis Club of Lincoln, The Lincoln Woman’s Club, The Christy Lynn Mitchell Foundation, and the Twelve Bridges High School Booster Club.
