Thank you for your interest in the American Relief Plan Act Nonprofit Grant Program. The City of Lincoln has allocated $200,000 in grant funding from the ARPA funds to provide assistance to Lincoln-based nonprofits who have been impacted by the COVID pandemic. The Lincoln Community Foundation will administer the grant program which will provide Nonprofits with up to $5,000 in grant funding.

Please read through the following guidelines for information regarding what Nonprofits are eligible and how to apply. All applications must be submitted by Friday, August 19, 2022 by 5pm.

Your application will be considered for an award of up to $5,000 based on your 2019 gross revenue as reported on your IRS Information Filing (Form 990). The City of Lincoln reserves the right to increase or decrease award amounts based on response and volume of eligible applications submitted and will be solely within the City Manager’s discretion.

NONPROFIT ELIGIBILITY

  • The Nonprofit applying must be physically located within the City of Lincoln.
  • The Nonprofit must have been founded on or before June 30, 2021.
  • The Nonprofit must be in good standing or show proof of obtaining good standing with all Federal, State and City regulatory reporting agencies as well as any amount owed to these organizations.

NONPROFIT INELIGIBILITY

  • The Nonprofit operates outside of the Lincoln City limits.
  • The Nonprofit is a branch of a larger national organization and receives funding from the national organization.
  • The Nonprofit is part of a corporate community support/giving organization.
  • The Nonprofit did not suffer any significant losses during the COVID pandemic.
  • The Nonprofit is primarily engaged in political or lobbying activities.
  • The Nonprofit is principally engaged in teaching, instructing, counseling or indoctrination of religion or religious beliefs, where in a religious or secular setting.

    Your eligible application will be considered for an award up to $5,000 and commiserate with the hardship experienced and documented above. The Grantee shall use the funds for the specific purposes of serving the Lincoln community.

    The City of Lincoln reserves the right to increase or decrease the grant award amounts based on the volume of eligible applications submitted. Allocation amount and organization eligibility will be solely within the City Manager’s discretion.
